Description

This Strawberry Vinaigrette is a fresh and vibrant dressing made from ripe strawberries, honey, apple cider vinegar, and high-quality olive oil. Perfect for salads, this vinaigrette combines fruity sweetness with tangy acidity for a balanced, flavorful dressing that can elevate any dish. It blends quickly in a blender for a smooth texture and can be stored refrigerated for up to three weeks.

Ingredients

Strawberry Vinaigrette

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, tops removed, halved or roughly chopped
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons high-quality olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add 1 cup fresh strawberries, 1 tablespoon honey, 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, and 2 tablespoons high-quality olive oil to a blender.
  2. Blend Smooth: Secure the lid on the blender and blend the ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Season to Taste: Taste the vinaigrette and add salt and freshly cracked black pepper to your liking. Replace the lid and blend again to incorporate the seasoning evenly.
  4. Serve or Store: Once completely smooth and well blended, transfer the vinaigrette to a serving vessel and use immediately, or pour into an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  • You can use frozen strawberries defrosted overnight instead of fresh strawberries to make this vinaigrette year-round.
  • If the flavors are too intense, blend in a little water to soften the taste, but avoid adding too much to prevent a watery consistency.
  • Leftover vinaigrette can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks. Shake or whisk before use as settling may occur.
  • If the olive oil thickens when chilled, bring the vinaigrette to room temperature before serving for best texture.
