Description
Monster Cookie Dessert Dip is a creamy, sweet, and indulgent dip inspired by the classic monster cookie. Made with cream cheese, peanut butter, oats, and studded with chocolate chips and colorful M&M’s, this no-bake dip is perfect for parties, gatherings, or an irresistible snack. Chilled and smooth with a delightful chewy texture from the oats and a hint of salt to balance the sweetness, it’s ideal for serving with fruit, pretzels, or graham crackers as part of a fun dessert spread.
Ingredients
Base Ingredients
- 8 ounces block of cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
- 1½ cups oats
- ⅓ cup milk
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
Add-Ins
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup M&M’s
Instructions
- Mix Cream Cheese and Powdered Sugar: In a medium mixing bowl, blend together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar using an electric hand mixer or stand mixer. Initially, the mixture will appear crumbly, but after about 2-3 minutes of mixing, it will become smooth and creamy.
- Add Remaining Ingredients Except Chocolate Chips and M&M’s: Add the creamy peanut butter, softened unsalted butter, oats, milk, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and sea salt to the bowl. Mix everything together until the mixture is smooth and evenly combined.
- Fold in Chocolate Chips and M&M’s: Stir in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and M&M’s, saving a small handful of each to use as garnish later. Use a rubber spatula to mix gently but thoroughly.
- Chill the Dip: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or an airtight lid and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the dip to firm up slightly.
- Serve and Garnish: When ready to serve, transfer the dip to a small serving bowl and garnish with the reserved chocolate chips and M&M’s. Serve chilled alongside fruit slices, pretzels, graham crackers, or other dipping snacks of your choice.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Freezing is not recommended as it may affect the texture; prepare the dip a day or night ahead and keep refrigerated.
- The dip is best served chilled for optimal texture and flavor.
- You can adjust the thickness of the dip by adding more or less oats according to preference.
- Ensure the butter and cream cheese are at room temperature before mixing to achieve a smooth, creamy consistency.
- This dip pairs well on a charcuterie board with a variety of fruit and sweet or salty dipping snacks.
