Description

Heavenly Lemon Oreo Dessert is a no-bake layered treat combining a buttery Golden Oreo crust, creamy lemon pudding, smooth cream cheese layer, and fluffy Cool Whip topped with crushed Oreos. This refreshing, tangy dessert is perfect for summer gatherings or any occasion requiring a light, sweet ending.

Ingredients

Crust

  • 1 package (14.3 ounces) Golden Oreo cookies
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, melted

Lemon Pudding Layer

  • 2 packages (3.4 ounces each) instant lemon pudding mix
  • 3 ¼ cups milk

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 1 block (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 container (8 ounces) Cool Whip, thawed

Topping

  • 1 container (8 ounces) Cool Whip, thawed
  • Reserved 3/4 cup crushed Golden Oreo cookies

Instructions

  1. Prepare Oreo Crust: Crush all Golden Oreo cookies in a food processor or with a rolling pin inside a large ziplock bag until you get your desired crumb size. Reserve 3/4 cup of the crushed Oreos for topping.
  2. Assemble Crust: Generously grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray. Pour the remaining Oreo crumbs into the dish, spreading evenly. Drizzle melted butter over the crumbs and mix gently. Press the mixture lightly to form the crust, being careful not to compact it too much to maintain ease of cutting.
  3. Prepare Lemon Pudding: In a medium bowl, whisk together both packages of instant lemon pudding mix with 3 ¼ cups milk until well combined. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 5 minutes to allow it to thicken.
  4. Make Cream Cheese Layer: In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually blend in the powdered sugar until fully combined. Fold in one container (8 ounces) of thawed Cool Whip gently to maintain a light texture. Spread this cream cheese mixture evenly over the Oreo crust layer.
  5. Layer Lemon Pudding: Evenly spread the chilled lemon pudding over the cream cheese layer.
  6. Add Topping: Spread the remaining container (8 ounces) of Cool Whip evenly over the lemon pudding layer. Sprinkle the reserved 3/4 cup crushed Oreos over the top for garnish.
  7. Chill and Serve: Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set. Cut into squares before serving and enjoy!

Notes

  • For best texture, avoid compacting the crust too firmly to keep it easier to cut and serve.
  • Use chilled lemon pudding to ensure proper layering and thickness.
  • You can substitute Cool Whip with whipped cream for a fresher taste.
  • Make sure cream cheese is softened for easier blending and smoother texture.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
