Description

Delightful and fun Deviled Strawberries feature fresh strawberries filled with a creamy, sweetened cream cheese mixture, garnished with graham cracker crumbs and colorful sprinkles. This no-bake, easy-to-make treat is perfect for parties, snacks, or a creative dessert twist that combines fruity freshness with indulgent creaminess.

Ingredients

Strawberries

  • 12 medium to large strawberries

Filling

  • 12 oz whipped cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Garnish

  • 1 tbsp graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 tbsp sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberries: Wash and dry the strawberries thoroughly. Using a sharp paring knife, slice each strawberry in half lengthwise, keeping the stems attached for presentation.
  2. Hollow the Strawberries: Score a triangle shape lightly in the center of each strawberry half with a paring knife. Then, gently remove some of the flesh with a small spoon or melon baller to create space for the filling.
  3. Drain: Place the hollowed strawberry halves cut side down on paper towels and allow to drain for a couple of minutes to prevent sogginess.
  4. Arrange: Lay the prepared strawberry halves on a deviled egg platter or serving dish for easy filling and presentation.
  5. Make the Filling: In a medium or large bowl, mix the whipped cream cheese, powdered sugar, lemon zest, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  6. Fill the Strawberries: Transfer the cream cheese mixture to a piping bag fitted with a large tip or a zip-top bag with a small corner cut off. Pipe the filling generously into the hollow center of each strawberry half.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs and colorful sprinkles on top of each filled strawberry. Serve immediately for best freshness and visual appeal.

Notes

  • Make sure strawberries are dry before filling to avoid sogginess.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute with vegan cream cheese and adjust sweetness accordingly.
  • The lemon zest adds brightness, but can be omitted if desired.
  • Prepare shortly before serving to maintain freshness and prevent filling from leaking.
  • Use fresh, firm strawberries for best results.
