Ingredients
Greek Yogurt Ranch
- ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon dried dill
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
Buffalo Chicken Sliders
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted and divided
- ¾ cup hot sauce
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- 4 cups shredded cooked chicken
- 12 slider buns
- 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- Celery sticks, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Buns: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Slice the slider buns in half and arrange the bottom halves on a parchment-lined quarter sheet baking tray, creating a foundation for the sliders.
- Make Greek Yogurt Ranch: In a small bowl, whisk together the plain Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dried dill, dried parsley, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth. Set this creamy ranch aside for later.
- Prepare Buffalo Chicken Mixture: In a large bowl, melt 6 tablespoons of butter. Remove 2 tablespoons of the melted butter and set aside. To the remaining butter, add the hot sauce, garlic powder, and paprika, whisking until well combined. Add the shredded cooked chicken and the Greek yogurt ranch mixture to the bowl and toss everything together until the chicken is evenly coated with the spicy, creamy sauce.
- Assemble Sliders: Evenly spread the buffalo chicken mixture over the bottom halves of the slider buns on the baking sheet. Sprinkle shredded Monterey Jack cheese over the buffalo chicken, then place the top halves of the buns over the cheese to form sliders.
- Butter and Season the Tops: Stir the reserved 2 tablespoons of melted butter with 1 teaspoon dried parsley. Brush this mixture evenly over the tops of the slider buns to add flavor and help them brown nicely.
- Bake the Sliders: Cover the sliders loosely with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. This will allow the sliders to heat through and the cheese to melt perfectly. Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 5 minutes to lightly brown the tops. The sliders should be warm with golden tops when done.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and serve the buffalo chicken sliders warm with celery sticks on the side for a classic crunchy contrast.
Notes
- Use cooked shredded chicken from a rotisserie or poached chicken breasts for convenience.
- Adjust hot sauce quantity based on your preferred spice level.
- To make ahead, assemble sliders and refrigerate before baking; bake an additional few minutes if baking from cold.
- For extra flavor, add blue cheese crumbles inside the sliders or on top before baking.
- Serve with additional ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
