Description

These Big Mac Sliders bring the classic McDonald’s favorite to your kitchen in a fun, bite-sized form. Featuring juicy ground beef seasoned simply with salt and pepper, layered with tangy Big Mac sauce, melted American cheese, and crisp shredded lettuce on soft Hawaiian slider rolls, this recipe is perfect for parties, game days, or a cozy family meal. Baked until golden and topped with a sesame seed glaze, these sliders combine all the iconic flavors in every delicious bite.

Ingredients

For the Beef

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

For the Big Mac Sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

For the Glaze

  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

For the Sliders

  • 12 slider rolls, Hawaiian rolls, or brioche rolls
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 1/4 yellow onion, finely diced
  • 5 oz iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 1/4 cup dill pickles, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350˚F to prepare for baking the sliders.
  2. Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat, return to skillet, season with salt and pepper, and set aside.
  3. Make the Big Mac Sauce: In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, mustard, white vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix thoroughly until evenly blended.
  4. Prepare the Sliders: Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally. Arrange the bottom halves in a casserole dish. Place slices of American cheese evenly on each bottom roll. Spread the cooked ground beef over the cheese, then sprinkle with diced yellow onion.
  5. Assemble and Glaze: Place the top halves of the rolls on the sliders. Brush the tops generously with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds for that classic Big Mac look and added flavor.
  6. Bake: Bake the assembled sliders in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until heated through and the tops are golden brown.
  7. Add Toppings and Serve: Remove the tops from each slider. Add shredded iceberg lettuce, a generous spoonful of Big Mac sauce, and sliced pickles on the bottom halves. Replace the roll tops and serve immediately for the best experience.

Notes

  • Leftovers: Store leftover cooked meat separately in the refrigerator for 3-4 days and reheat in the microwave. Keep toppings separate for freshness.
  • Substitutions: Miracle Whip can replace mayonnaise; cheddar cheese works instead of American; potato rolls can substitute Hawaiian or brioche rolls.
  • Storage: Cover leftovers with aluminum foil and refrigerate for up to 4 days.
  • Freezing: Freeze assembled sliders without lettuce and pickles for best results. Reheat following the original recipe’s instructions.
  • Reheating: Reheat cooked sliders individually in the microwave in 30-second increments or cover with foil and warm in the oven.
  • Scaling: Easily double or halve the recipe depending on your serving needs.
