A creamy, dreamy layered dessert that combines vanilla pudding with ripe banana slices and fresh strawberries, layered with cookies for crunch and drizzled with strawberry sauce. Light, fruity, and irresistibly nostalgic.
Ingredients
1 package instant vanilla or banana cream pudding mix
2–2½ cups cold milk (dairy or plant-based)
½ cup sweetened condensed milk (optional)
1½ cups whipped topping or whipped cream
3–4 ripe bananas, sliced
2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
½ cup strawberry glaze or sauce (optional)
Nilla wafers, Butter cookies, or Chessman cookies (whole or crushed)
Optional toppings: extra strawberries, crushed cookies, whipped cream
Instructions
- Prepare pudding by whisking mix into cold milk. Stir in condensed milk and whipped topping if using. Chill briefly.
- Slice strawberries and toss with sugar and lemon juice to macerate. Let sit 30 minutes.
- In a trifle dish or glasses, layer cookies, pudding, banana slices, strawberries, and strawberry sauce. Repeat as needed.
- Top with whipped cream, strawberries, and crushed cookies.
- Chill at least 30 minutes or overnight before serving.
Notes
Layer in crumbled graham crackers or Oreos for variation.
Use coconut milk and vegan whipped topping for a dairy-free version.
Toss bananas in lemon juice to prevent browning.
