Description

Homemade Orange Popsicles are a refreshing, healthy treat that you can easily make at home. Bursting with the bright, tangy flavor of fresh oranges, these popsicles are perfect for hot summer days, a fun snack, or even as a light dessert.

Ingredients

2 cups freshly squeezed orange juice (about 45 oranges)

12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for added tang)

1/2 cup water (optional, for a lighter flavor)

Instructions

  1. Squeeze the juice from the oranges into a bowl, straining out any seeds or pulp. If using, add the lemon juice and sweetener to the bowl, stirring until everything is well combined.
  2. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness as needed. If you prefer a lighter flavor, you can add water to the mixture.
  3. Pour the orange juice mixture evenly into popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top to allow for expansion as they freeze.
  4. Place the popsicle sticks into the molds, ensuring they stay centered and upright.
  5. Transfer the molds to the freezer and freeze for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.
  6. To remove the popsicles, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds, then gently pull on the sticks to release the popsicles.

Notes

If you prefer a more natural taste, feel free to omit the honey or maple syrup.

You can add a splash of coconut milk or pineapple juice to the orange mixture for a tropical flavor.

For a creamier version, blend in some yogurt, coconut milk, or coconut cream.

Store any leftover popsicles in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
