Description
Garlic Butter Brazilian Steak is a flavorful and juicy dish inspired by Brazilian churrasco, featuring marinated steak seared to perfection and topped with a rich garlic butter sauce. It’s a simple yet indulgent dish perfect for steak lovers.
Ingredients
For the steak:
2 boneless steaks (ribeye, flank, sirloin, or your favorite cut)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
For the garlic butter:
1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick), softened
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for a bit of zest)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the steak: In a small bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub the marinade on the steaks and let sit for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
- Prepare the garlic butter: Combine softened butter, minced garlic, fresh parsley, and lemon juice (if using). Stir until well mixed and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Set aside.
- Cook the steaks: Heat a heavy skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Add marinated steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Adjust time for desired doneness.
- Finish with garlic butter: While steaks rest, melt garlic butter in the same skillet over low heat for 1-2 minutes. Spoon butter over steaks just before serving.
- Serve: Slice steaks against the grain, drizzle with remaining garlic butter from the pan, and serve with sides like rice, roasted vegetables, or a salad.
Notes
For added heat, add red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper to the marinade or garlic butter.
Experiment with fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary in the garlic butter for a unique flavor.
This recipe can also be cooked on the grill for an extra smoky flavor.
Make the garlic butter ahead of time and refrigerate it for up to a week.
