Description

These Frozen Yogurt Bites are a fun and healthy snack perfect for kids. Made with creamy Greek yogurt and a variety of fresh or frozen fruits, nuts, and optional sweeteners, they’re easy to prepare and freeze into bite-sized treats that soften slightly after thawing for a delicious, refreshing snack.

Ingredients

Base

  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt

Fruits & Toppings

  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1/4 cup kiwi slices
  • 1/4 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 1/4 cup blueberries
  • 1/4 cup raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons dried fruit (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons nuts, chopped (optional)
  • Sprinkles or chocolate chips (optional)

Sweeteners (Optional)

  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

Other

  • Muffin liners or ice cube molds
  • Baking sheet

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Place the Greek yogurt, fresh or frozen fruits, dried fruits, nuts, and optional sweeteners like honey or maple syrup into separate small bowls to make assembling easier.
  2. Set Up Molds: Line a muffin tin with paper liners or prepare ice cube molds on a baking sheet to catch any spills and make clean-up easier.
  3. Flavor the Yogurt: If desired, stir honey or maple syrup into the Greek yogurt to add a touch of sweetness before assembling your bites.
  4. Assemble Yogurt Bites: Guide children or yourself to use the flavored yogurt as a base and “glue” to hold together layers of fruits, nuts, and any fun add-ins in each muffin cup or ice cube mold.
  5. Freeze: Place the baking sheet with the filled molds in the freezer and freeze for 1 to 2 hours until the yogurt bites are solid.
  6. Serve: Remove the yogurt bites from the molds and allow them to sit at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes to soften slightly, making them easier to eat. For younger children, cut into small bite-sized pieces.

Notes

  • To prevent sticking, use muffin liners or silicone ice cube molds.
  • Let the frozen bites soften for 5-10 minutes before eating for easier chewing.
  • Customize with your favorite fruits, nuts, or sweet toppings.
  • Ideal for a quick snack or fun after-school treat for kids.
  • Store leftover bites in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 week.
