Description

Ingredients

2 cups whole milk (or preferred milk)

1/4 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)

1/4 cup granulated sugar (or to taste)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups ice

1/4 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate

Whipped cream (for topping)

Chocolate shavings or chocolate syrup (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, whisk together milk, cocoa powder, and sugar over medium heat until smooth and simmering, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  2. Add chocolate chips or chopped chocolate and stir until melted and smooth.
  3. Let the chocolate mixture cool to room temperature or chill in the fridge for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Transfer the cooled mixture to a blender. Add ice and blend until slushy and smooth.
