Description

Charcuterie Board Flatbread transforms the best elements of a classic charcuterie platter—cured meats, cheeses, olives, and herbs—into a delicious, crispy flatbread appetizer. It’s a fun, elegant, and easy-to-make dish perfect for entertaining.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

1/2 cup warm water

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)

1/4 cup pesto (optional)

1/4 cup salami or pepperoni, sliced

1/4 cup brie or camembert cheese, sliced

1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/4 cup Kalamata olives, sliced

1/4 cup fresh arugula or spinach

1 tablespoon fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)

Honey or balsamic glaze (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, baking powder, and garlic powder. Add warm water and olive oil. Stir until dough forms.
  3. Knead dough for 1–2 minutes until smooth. Roll out to 1/8-inch thickness.
  4. Bake flatbread for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp. Remove from oven.
  5. Spread cream cheese (and pesto, if using) over baked flatbread. Top with salami, brie, mozzarella, and olives. Sprinkle with herbs if desired.
  6. Return to oven for 3–5 minutes to melt cheese and heat toppings.
  7. Remove, top with arugula or spinach, and drizzle with honey or balsamic glaze. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

Use store-bought flatbread for a faster option.

Try with different meats, cheeses, or fruits for variety.

Make vegetarian with more veggies and no meat.

Can be prepped in advance and assembled before serving.
