Charcuterie Board Flatbread transforms the best elements of a classic charcuterie platter—cured meats, cheeses, olives, and herbs—into a delicious, crispy flatbread appetizer. It’s a fun, elegant, and easy-to-make dish perfect for entertaining.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1/2 cup warm water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
1/4 cup pesto (optional)
1/4 cup salami or pepperoni, sliced
1/4 cup brie or camembert cheese, sliced
1/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup Kalamata olives, sliced
1/4 cup fresh arugula or spinach
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)
Honey or balsamic glaze (optional, for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix flour, salt, baking powder, and garlic powder. Add warm water and olive oil. Stir until dough forms.
- Knead dough for 1–2 minutes until smooth. Roll out to 1/8-inch thickness.
- Bake flatbread for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp. Remove from oven.
- Spread cream cheese (and pesto, if using) over baked flatbread. Top with salami, brie, mozzarella, and olives. Sprinkle with herbs if desired.
- Return to oven for 3–5 minutes to melt cheese and heat toppings.
- Remove, top with arugula or spinach, and drizzle with honey or balsamic glaze. Slice and serve warm.
Notes
Use store-bought flatbread for a faster option.
Try with different meats, cheeses, or fruits for variety.
Make vegetarian with more veggies and no meat.
Can be prepped in advance and assembled before serving.
