Ingredients

Bread Base

  • 1 loaf of French Bread, cut in half lengthwise

Chicken Topping

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2/3 cup buffalo wing sauce

Additional Toppings

  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 1/2 cups fontina cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, freshly grated
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 bunch cilantro, chopped


Instructions

  1. Toast the French Bread: Place the French bread, cut side up, onto a large cookie sheet and put it under the oven broiler for about 2 minutes. Rotate the bread and broil for another 2 minutes until the tops are slightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink inside. Add minced garlic and cook for one more minute to release the aroma.
  3. Simmer Chicken in Buffalo Sauce: Pour the buffalo wing sauce over the cooked chicken and stir to coat well. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes to allow flavors to meld. Then turn off the heat and remove the skillet from the burner.
  4. Assemble the Pizza: Brush 2 to 3 tablespoons of ranch dressing evenly onto each piece of toasted French bread. Drizzle 2 to 3 tablespoons of buffalo wing sauce over the ranch. Sprinkle fontina cheese evenly over the bread, then spoon the buffalo chicken mixture on top. Finally, cover the chicken with mozzarella cheese.
